Lucie Briffaut est une brodeuse d’art et artiste plasticienne indépendante à Strasbourg.
Après avoir touché de ses doigts les modèles de Haute-Couture des plus grandes maisons parisiennes, elle se concentre à présent sur la réalisation de créations personnelles, sous forme d’éléments de décoration de luxe.
Tableaux et luminaires brodés sont ses principales créations, inspirées des couleurs du ciel, de la profondeur du Cosmos, des éléments comme l’eau et l’air...toujours avec raffinement et simplicité.
Ses voyages au Japon ont affûté son œil, et la recherche permanente de subtilité, de pureté et d’équilibre font partie prenante de son travail.
La lumière (光 “hikari” en japonais) donne également à son univers toute sa substance : en fonction de son intensité et de l’endroit d’où elle prend sa source, change la perception de l'objet et lui confère une dimension nouvelle.

If she had a vocation, it would be to bring beauty to the world. Doing so in her own way, by seeking new concepts to “modernize” embroidery, for example by making it dialogue with plastic arts.
After studies in high school specialized in plastic arts, she chose to dive into embroidery, from which she first learned the techniques in a school of art crafts. Then within several Haute-Couture workshops such as Chanel, Dior, Valentino or Armani, for ten years. This is what allowed her to develop her aesthetic sense and precision in the gesture.
She is in the process of giving to embroidery a contemporary aestheticism. Her travels to Japan have sharpened her eye, and the constant search for subtlety, purity and balance are an integral part of her work. She likes to play with transparency, with optical illusion.
